Composition of ATX Power Supply

ATX power supply consists of AC input circuit, main power supply, auxiliary power supply, power-on signal circuit and other parts.

ATX Power Supply

The three output terminals of the ATX power supply, +3V terminal is output for the motherboard for the CPU, +5SB terminal output for the computer standby power. PS-ON terminal is mainly for the host on and off power and remote wake-up control power signal. +5SB and PS-ON terminal is to achieve power on and off. The PS-ON signal level can be controlled to turn the power on and off. If the PS-ON level signal is lower than 1V, the power supply is on, and the level signal is higher than 4.5V power supply is off.
